We will place in time more and more information, scientific researches, videos, etc. on this website.

With regard to the summaries of scientific research, the aim is to summarize as many (recent) review articles as possible. These are articles in which, in a certain area, in principle recent scientific research has been described. These articles therefore give a pretty complete picture of the latest scientific insights.

As far as possible, in the overview below links are included to the full text of the scientific articles mentioned. However, there are also articles that cannot be accessed directly online, but only through scientific databases. A link to the summary (abstract) has been included for these articles. If you want more information about such an article, you can mail us.

EFSA Health Claims


First of all, below you can find the official health claims that apply to the use of omega-3 fatty acids.

There is a European law on health claims. This law determines which claims about health benefits are permitted when you advertise specific products on, for example, a website, packaging or in brochures.

The health claims below are approved by EFSA (European Food and Safety Authority). All approved health claims for products or substances have been scientifically tested by EFSA.

 

GOOD FOR YOUR HEART 

250mg EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function. 


GOOD FOR YOUR BRAIN 

250mg DHA to maintain normal brain function. Pregnant and lactating women: 450mg DHA and 250mg EPA contribute to normal brain development in fetus and breastfed children. 


GOOD FOR YOUR VISION 

250mg DHA to maintain normal vision. Infants up to 1 year: 100 mg DHA contributes to normal visual development. 


GOOD FOR YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM 

Normal function of the immune system. 


GOOD FOR YOUR BLOOD TRIGLYC- ERIDE & -PRESSURE

 
2-5gr DHA and EPA to maintain normal blood triglyceride level and normal blood pressure. 


GOOD FOR YOUR MUSCLE FUNCTION 

Normal muscle function. 


VITAMIN D3: 

GOOD FOR YOUR MUSCLE, IMMUNE SYSTEM, BLOOD & BONESVitamin D3 contributes to normal muscle and immune system function, normal absorption of calcium and phosphorus, normal blood calcium levels, and maintenance of normal bones and teeth.
